Patricia M. “Pat” Fitchett, 84, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Evercare of Edwardsville. She was born January 6, 1941, in Granite City, Illinois, a daughter of the late Charles and Lorraine (Kreher) Parkinson. She married Charles Lowell Fitchett on June 11, 1961, and he passed away on September 8, 1993.
Pat had served as a cook for over 40 years, working at Holy Family School and various other establishments throughout the years. She was a longtime member of the Granite City Eagles Auxiliary #1126 and had served as president for five terms and as a state trustee. She enjoyed her days of bowling, cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Thomas Fitchett of Kirkwood, Missouri, Tricia Fitchett of Granite City and Matthew (Kayla) Fitchett of Granite City; five grandchildren, Nathan, Brett, Miranda, Henry and Dottie; four great grandchildren, Brandon, Bailee, Kameryn and Rhys; a brother, Charles (Jane) Parkinson of Granite City; two sisters, Pamela Ames of Maryville and Barbara (Gary) Goetz of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Fitchett and a grandson, Brian Fitchett.
In celebration of her life, she will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with her husband.

Thomas Claude Cathey, 90, of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
He was born April 12, 1935, in Bear Spring, Tennessee, the son of the late Thomas and Gladys (McClannahan) Cathey.
Thomas was a meat cutter with over 20 years of service working for Kelly’s Meat Market and Cionko’s in Granite City.
The United States Army veteran proudly served his country during World War II. He had served in Germany with Elvis Presley and under the commanding officer of Colin Powell. He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Granite City and was a member of the Granite City Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He enjoyed his days of bowling and working at the Tri-Mor Bowl for several years. He was an avid collector of stamps and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carol L. (Johnson) Cathey and three sisters, Carol Charter, Janie Cathey and Betty Watson.
He is survived by his special love of seven years, Joy Edwards of Granite City and her family, Curt Edwards of Florida, Brad Edwards of Florida, Brian Edwards of Granite City, Emily Edwards and Melissa Edwards; a step-daughter, Laura Merz of Granite City; a step-son, Max Merz of Granite City; three step-grandchildren, Hannah, Mark and Lucas; two nieces, Susan Cathey Charter of Texas and Cathy Watson of Texas; two nephews, Thomas Richard Charter of Belleville and Dr. Jeffrey Watson of Texas; a cousin, Sandy Kozyak of Granite City; other extended family and many dear friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church, 2160 Delmar Avenue in Granite City on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of a service at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jack Jenkins officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ronald W. Haldeman, 79, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born on April 27, 1946, in Columbia, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Paul A. and Bonnie (Talbert) Haldeman, Sr.
On August 3, 1968, Ron married his soulmate, Shelly A. (Jones) Haldeman. Their 56-year love story was a beautiful testament to enduring love and devotion.
Ron served his country with pride and distinction in the United States Army. He was a dedicated member of I.A.M. Local #837 and applied his talents and creativity as a pattern maker to several companies before founding his own business, Gateway Tooling Technology.
Ron’s work was instrumental in designing many notable memorials and sites across the country, including the baseballs for the new Busch Stadium and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial project. Beyond his professional achievements, Ron had a keen eye for the elegance and beauty of traditional muscle cars, especially Corvettes and Camaros. He had a deep love for animals and birds and enjoyed listening to the classic songs of his youth, particularly those by The Beach Boys. Above all, he was a family man and cherished every moment spent with them. Ron will be remembered for his True Americana spirit—proudly serving his country, cruising in a muscle car, and turning up the surf rock tunes of The Beach Boys. Ron leaves behind a legacy of creativity, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard S. Haldeman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles R. and Dorothea L. Jones; and his sister-in-law, Sherri Druck.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Shelly A. (Jones) Haldeman, of Granite City, Illinois; his sons, Benjamin T. (Nicole) Haldeman, of Granite City, Illinois and Joshua M. (Tricia) Haldeman, of Collinsville, Illinois; his granddaughters, Olivia Wicks and Emilee Haldeman; his brothers, Paul A. (Jackie) Haldeman, Jr. and Michael Haldeman; his niece and nephews, Sarah Shulman, James Haldeman, Jeffrey Fasick, Adam Fasick, and Aaron Druck; his sister-in-law, Sheila (Randy) Schum; his brother-in-law, Dr. Norman Druck; and many other relatives and friends.

Patricia C. “Patty” Riggins, 77, of Edwardsville, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. She was born May 10, 1948, in Granite City, Illinois, to Charles “Bill and Catherine June (Stack) Riggins.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grade School and Granite City High School. While working full time at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, she earned a B.A. in Mass Communications and a M.S. in Environmental Studies.
She was a proud and Active member of AFSCME Local 2887. She did consulting for the Illinois State Board of Higher Education and conducted workshops in national environmental education programs throughout the Mid-west.
Patty enjoyed traveling for thirty years, visiting Alaska, Hawaii, the British Isles and parts of Europe, Africa, the Greek Islands, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean. Her most memorable experiences were staying at Treetops Lodge in Kenya with baboons snatching at her camera strap, riding a camel at the foot of the Great Pyramids in Egypt, standing on the edge of Iguaza Falls in Brazil, and walking the rocky steps of Machu Picchu in Peru.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Davis of Tamms, IL. She also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews, Terry Riggins of Topton, NC, David (Debbie) Riggins of Topton, NC, Angela (Tim) Bramstedt of Glen Carbon, Maggie Evans (Paul Linden) of St. Paul, MN, Heather (Brent) Korte of Highland, IL, Matthew (Jenny) Riggins of Grimes, IA, Whitney (Marty) Landmann of Alhambra, IL, Emilie Shaw and Natalie Riggins of Edwardsville, IL and Dalton Riggins of St. Charles, MO; many great nieces and great nephews; other extended family and friends.

Maynard “Mickey” James McCrea, 76, of Granite City, IL died on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.
He was born on September 5, 1948 in Waterloo, IA to Maynard E. and Ruby (nee: Gibson) McCrea. Mickey married Martha “Bobbi” Sronce in Edwardsville, IL on June 5, 1992.
The U.S. Army veteran was a 100% disabled veteran due to agent orange. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1131 in Granite City, IL.
Mickey enjoyed playing the guitar as he was in a band and he was a life- long collector of guitars. He enjoyed music, especially rock music such as ACDC. Mickey also enjoyed fishing and woodworking when he was able to.
Mickey is survived by his wife; a daughter, Paula Sronce of Granite City; a son, Chris (Tammi) Howlett of Waterloo, IA; 2 brothers: Wayne (Cheryl) McCrea of Glen Carbon and Anthony McCrea of Dixon, IL and 4 sisters: Lois Thompson of St. Cloud, FL, Myrna (Paul) Pongniphon of St. Charles, MO, Julie Hassel of Maryland Heights, MO and Ava (Rich) Carr of Swansea, IL.
Also surviving are sister in law, Kay Sronce of Granite City; brother in law, Madison (Sue) Sronce of Plainfield, IL; special friends: Benny Lofink, whom he played guitar with, Jerry Stafford and Karen Stafford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mickey is preceded in death by 3 sisters: Mary Lee Browning, Patsy Cherry and Rachel Alford.

Helen “Diane” Brawley, 68, of Granite City, IL died on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on November 23, 1956 in Granite City, IL to Virgil Edwin Hughes and Helen Virginia (nee: Hall) Schneider.
Diane married Ralph Brawley and he preceded her in death in 2017.
The loving mother and grandmother was of the Christian faith and she was a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City, IL. She enjoyed plants, gardening and fishing.
Diane was involved in arts & crafts, and she enjoyed stained glass along with crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Diane is survived by a son, Kelly Smith of Granite City; 5 grandchildren: Gabrielle (fiancé, Codie Henkel) Smith, Kelsi Coats, Daltyn Smith, Malia Smith and Kyler Smith and 2 great grandchildren: Sebastian Luna and Ignacio Luna. Also surviving are a brother, Dale Hughes of Edwardsville; 2 sisters: Darla Pilch of Granite City and Georgia (John) Rhodes of Caruthersville, MO; 8 nephews: Cliff Boker, Adam Boker, Jason Hughes, Sean Hughes, Cody Hughes, Randy Pilch and great nephews: Landen Pilch, Cullen Pilch and Jameson Hughes and other great nephews and nieces.
Besides her husband and parents, Diane is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Virgil Edwin Hughes III and Everett Timothy Hughes and a niece, Nikki Hughes.

Nancy E. Ballew, 74, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on September 20, 1950, in St. Louis, Nancy brought warmth and joy into the world that she would share with countless others throughout her life. She was a woman of deep compassion, boundless creativity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
On January 20, 1966, in Williamsville, Missouri, she married the love of her life, Chet R. Ballew. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.
Chet preceded her in death on December 16, 2023, and their reunion in eternity is a comfort to those who mourn.
Nancy proudly served as a secretary with the Madison County Sewer District for nine years before retiring in 1998. Her work ethic, loyalty, and kindness left a lasting impression on her colleagues and community.
A talented painter and passionate crafter, Nancy found joy in expressing her creativity. She also loved gardening, often tending to her flowers with the same care and attention she gave to everyone in her life. Her true happiness, however, was found in the presence of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, delighting in their achievements and filling their lives with unconditional love. Nancy had a gift for making people feel at home, she never met a stranger and was always quick with a smile, a warm hug, or a heartfelt laugh.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chet; her parents, Jess and Dess (Hixson) Wisecarver; her brother, Stan York; her sister, Celia Tinker; and her son-in-law, Cliff Cruse.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Leigh Ann Cruse and Lynne Ballew, both of Granite City; her treasured grandchildren, Melissa (Denny) Wells, Jennifer Cruse, and Dustin Cruse; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Raeleigh, and Brayden Wells. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A graveside service celebrating Nancy’s remarkable life will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.

Paula Sue Sitzes, 73, of Pontoon Beach passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at her home. She was born February 18, 1952 in Granite City to Paul and Sue (nee: Copeland) Lewis.
She married Larry Sitzes March 21, 1986. Paula worked as a cashier for Shop and Save for 19 years and was a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City. She enjoyed cooking and was a loving cat owner.
She is survived by her husband Larry Sitzes of Pontoon Beach; brothers, Kevin Lewis of Glen Carbon and Robert and Dottye Moore of Elizabethtown, KY and best friend, Shelly Bettorf of Granite City.

Lanny Wayne Woll, 67, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born on June 3, 1958, in Granite City, he was the beloved son of Ray Ted Woll and the late Norma Jean (Lee) Woll.
A proud patriot and dedicated soldier, Lanny retired from the United States Army after years of faithful service, including his impactful work as a recruiter. Through his time in uniform, he cultivated not only a deep sense of duty but also lifelong friendships and skills that defined his character, most notably his remarkable marksmanship and steadfast reliability.
Lanny was, at heart, a true outdoorsman. He found peace and purpose in nature, whether casting a line, setting up camp under the stars, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty of the world around him. His love for the outdoors was only matched by the generosity of his spirit. Lanny never met a stranger and never hesitated to offer a helping hand. His warmth, humor, and humility left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
He will be remembered as a loving son, devoted brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and kindness into countless lives.
In addition to his mother, Lanny is now reunited with his brothers, Michael and Larry Woll, and his niece, Emily Rozell who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his father, Ray Woll of Granite City, IL; siblings, Debra Hendrix of Rolla, MO, Gregory (Mary) Woll of Granite City, IL, Ricky (Michelle) Woll of Collinsville, IL, and Kimberly (Jay) Rice of Sedalia, MO. Lanny was a cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and a treasured friend to many more.

Cecil Edward Williams, 90, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Cedarhurst Memory Care in Granite City.
He was born January 9, 1935, in Granite City, a son of the late Dewey Edward and Helen (Whitmire) Williams.
He married Alice Evelyn (Dowdy) Williams on August 8, 1975, in Wood River and she passed away on January 23, 2021.
Cecil retired from Boeing in St. Louis after many years of dedicates service as a planner. He was a member of the Granite City Elks and Masonic Lodge and served on the board of the Mitchell Water District and the Granite City Steel Credit Union. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed his days of fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Cathy Williams of Salem, Missouri and Mike and Barb Williams of Granite City; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Kelly and Cindy Hodges Jr. of Edwardsville; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Kim and Ron Parente of Granite City; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Zach, Ronnie, Kassie, Aaron, Jeff, Janice, Christine and Jacob; eight great grandchildren, Jason, Kayleigh, Gabriel, Serenity, Wade, Oskar, Cullen and Kimberlin; a great-great grandson, Maxis; two brothers, Gerald Williams of Granite City and Wayne Williams of Granite City; three sisters, Winnie Pointer of Granite City, Rosetta Kuehnel of Granite City and Wanda Aiken of Granite City; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

Frieda Belle Fernandez, 91, of Granite City, IL died on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.
She was born on November 23, 1933 in East St. Louis, IL to George Zelbert Hayden and Martha Ann (Shelton) Hayden.
Frieda married Manuel Fernandez in Osceola, MO on September 28, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1997.
The loving mother and grandmother retired from Gateway Hospital, formally St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Granite City after 37 years of service as a medical secretary. Frieda attended Unity Baptist Church in Granite City. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Frieda was such a people person. Her house was always full and she enjoyed cooking for everyone. Holidays were very special for her and she especially enjoyed Christmas with her family and friends.
Frieda is survived by 8 children: Kathy Ann (Danny) King of Collinsville, Brenda Joyce Taylor of Granite City, Jovita Gail (Emanuel) Fernandez of Caseyville, Gary Lee (Sherri Colbert)) Fernandez of Granite City, Reba Faye (Michael) Watkins of Granite City, Anita Fernandez of Granite City, Maria Kim Slaton of Granite City and Joel Fernandez of TN; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; son in law, Dennis Smith of New Douglas; a brother in law, Gene Nadler of Cahokia, IL and many extended family members.

Michelle Jean McIlvoy, 60, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 24, 1964, she was the cherished daughter of the late Michael W. Jones and Gloria Jean (Buckingham) Jones.
On June 1, 1996, Michelle married the love of her life, Tim McIlvoy, in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to unwavering devotion, shared dreams, and enduring faith. Michelle was a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glen Carbon, where she found joy, and community with the women of the church.
A passionate educator, Michelle dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a teacher at Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, Illinois. She had a gift for creating relationships with her students, and always made her classroom a second home, with her kindness, dedication and sense of humor.
Michelle found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures, reading countless books from the library, sharing laughter while out to lunch with her best friend, and cherishing moments with her family. She especially loved her granddaughter, whom she adored and spoiled as often as she could. Her presence was a gentle light in the lives of all who knew her, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Michelle was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her infant daughter, Kevy McIlvoy; and her father-in-law, Larry McIlvoy.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim McIlvoy of Granite City, IL; her beloved children, Ryan McIlvoy of El Paso, TX, and Kaitlin McIlvoy (Adam Greenlee) of Granite City, IL; her treasured granddaughter, Irie Jean Greenlee; her dear brother, Michael (Carol) Jones of Aviston, IL; her loving mother-in-law, Donna McIlvoy of Granite City, IL; as well as many adored nieces, nephews, extended family members, cherished friends, and former students.
A visitation to celebrate Michelle’s life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Irwin Chapel in Granite City. A funeral service honoring her beautiful life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, also at Irwin Chapel, with Rev. Rob Schneider officiating. Marion Steven Fisk, 81, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at Gateway Regional Medical Center. Born on November 1, 1943, in Granite City, he was the cherished son of Charles E. and Alma (Couch) Fisk, Sr.
On February 18, 1966, Marion married the love of his life, Margaret (Worley) Fisk, in Granite City. Their 59 years of marriage were a testament to their unwavering love and devotion.
Marion was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and served as a Cub Scout Master, guiding his sons with care and commitment.
His love for animals was evident through his and Margaret’s long-standing volunteer work with the APA of Granite City, an organization they supported since its inception in 1972. A man of many talents, Marion enjoyed leatherworking, creating intricate and beautiful crafts over the years.
He also achieved brown belts in both judo and karate, showcasing his dedication and discipline. Marion will be remembered as a beloved husband, a loving father, a doting grandfather, and a dear brother. His legacy of love, kindness, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles E. Fisk, Jr. and Thomas Fisk.

Shawn was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved birds, and birdwatching, antique-ing and watching crime shows.

Harry Curtis Stephens, 77, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at his home in Piedmont, MO in the loving company of family.
Harry was born on October 10, 1947 in Granite City, IL, to parents Clete Stephens and Lavelle Stephens, nee Odum. Harry valiantly served his country, honorably serving two tours in Vietnam. After returning to the States, he began a career at Granite City Steel that would span 32 years. Harry coached numerous youth sports teams, including baseball, soccer, and basketball. He retired in 2000 and moved to Piedmont in southern Missouri, near where he happily spent summers with his family as a child. He enjoyed the peacefulness of rural retirement but was happy to host generations of family for frequent visits.
He is proceeded in death by parents, Clete and Lavelle Stephens. He leaves behind his wife, Connie Stephens and children, Becky (Brian) Miller, Tim Stephens, Christopher Stroder, and Travis Stroder. He will also be missed by six grandchildren: Courtney Stephens, Joshua (Crystal) Holliday, Kaylen (Dustin) Waterman, Kaylee Holliday (Geo Ortiz), Adaya Stroder, and Charles Miller. He was the proud great grandfather to Camden, Matthew, Carson, Zayden, Grace, Bella, Lucas, JJ, Ollie, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Elliana. Other survivors include his sisters, Sue (Joe) Gross of Utah, Paula (Carl) Holem of Missouri, and Marvin Stephens of Utah.

Dianna Barthelemy, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, MO.
She was born July 2, 1948, in Venice, IL. She married Robert Barthelemy on March 5, 1983. She worked as an amazing housewife and enjoyed baking beautiful cakes for her family and friends. Dianna had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep, positive way.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Tom Estabrook; four daughters, Donna (Kenny) Gray, Tina (James) Warren, Pattie Glasco, Lisa (Mark) Kuhlmann; and seven grandchildren, Marissa, Kodi (Sarah), Maquella (Tyler), Nathan, Karynna, Olivia, and Dallas Anna. She was preceded in death by one son.

Judith Ann Stroud, 66, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025.
She was born October 10, 1958, in Granite City, a daughter of the late William Joseph and Betty Lou (Paulter) Vaughn.
She married Gary William Stroud on August 1, 1980, in Maryville, Illinois and he survives.
Judith had retired from Dr. Bill McMasters Dental office after 42 years of dedicated service as a dental assistant. She found much peace and love in gardening and enjoyed tending to her yard. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Stroud and her fiancé, Justin Hileman of Granite City; four grandchildren, Andrew Stroud, Colton Hileman, Rebecca Hileman and Elliott Hileman; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Charles Moxey of Granite City; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Vasiloff.

Charles H. Reed, 84, of Granite City, Illinois went to be with the Lord at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
He was born February 5, 1941, in Fenton, Louisiana, a son of the late Mabel (Saucier) and Edwin Reed Sr.
He married Renda (Johnson) Reed on November 17, 1961, in Granite City and she survives.
Charles was employed at American Steel Foundaries for 21 years. He retired on January 1, 2018, from the Metro East Sanitary District after 21½ years of dedicated service. He attended Restoration Church with his wife and enjoyed his days of fishing and hunting.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Daniel Reed, Denise and John Arnett and Douglas and Jeanne Reed; five grandchildren and spouses, Melanie Copeland, Charles and Angela Copeland, Jordan and Amanda Reed, Jessica and Jake Epperson and Jenna and Corbin Thomas; five great grandchildren, Kaylee Hoffman, Michael Hoffman, Sawyer Reed, Ezra Reed and Charleigh Copeland; two brothers, Irvin Reed and Ed Reed Jr.; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; several nieces; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachel Copeland and three sisters, Patsy Johnson, Barbara Cormier and Wanda Chaney.

He was born on October 7, 1954 in St. Louis, MO to Richard T. Carney, Sr and Alyne Rose (Berghofer) Carney.
Timothy was a former member of the Granite City Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed playing cards with his friends: Donald, Pat and Paul. Timothy also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

An avid fan of rock music, he enjoyed bands like Metallica, Guns N Roses, System Of a Down, and Creed. When he was watching TV you could find him watching the science channel, history channel, discovery channel or Nat Geo. His favorite shows were How It’s Made, River Monsters, Forged in Fire, Ancient Aliens, and Unknown Expedition.
He was most excited about becoming a new grandfather and getting to meet his granddaughter. His family will greatly miss him.

Terri Michelle Spink, (nee, Jateff), 53, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born October 11, 1971, she is the beloved daughter of the late Thomas B. Jateff and Beverly Ross.
On June 21, 2008, in Granite City, Illinois, Terri united in marriage with Mark Edward Spink, forging a bond that stood as a testament to their unwavering love and devotion for nearly 17 years.
Terri was a valiant warrior, confronting her cancer diagnosis with a courageous spirit and unparalleled fierceness. Her determination to remain positive and joyful was a beacon of hope, and she triumphed over her illness for close to a decade. With a heart as vast as the ocean, Terri’s generosity knew no bounds. She adored all creatures, especially her beloved cats, and found solace being outdoors in the embrace of nature. She loved basking in the sun’s warmth at the beach and listening to the soothing symphony of the waves. Terri lived life to its fullest, savoring every precious moment with her grandchildren and family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving daughter, adoring mother, doting grandmother, beloved sister and friend. Her legacy of strength, compassion, and boundless love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She was born on February 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Josephine (Nickleson) Kiernan.
Joan married Charles L. Melzer, Jr in Altamont, IL on July 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2022.
The loving mother and grandmother enjoyed reading and watching game shows. She really enjoyed watching reality TV shows and Survivor was her favorite as she never missed an episode. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Charles Daniel “Charlie” Palus, 69, of Caseyville and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:28 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Keystone at Magnolia Commons in Glen Carbon. He was born June 28, 1955, in Granite City, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Sertich) Palus.
He married Cheryl Callis on June 27, 1998, in Kirkwood, Missouri. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by a son, Robbie Palus of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Jessie Palus of Fairview Heights, Illinois; a brother, Bob Palus(Pam Shadwick) of Glen Carbon, Illinois; mother-in-law, Nancy Callis of O’Fallon, Illinois; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Callis of Bloomington, Illinois and Bob and Kim Ready of Hayworth, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; special cousin Dot Pawlak and many other cousins, family and friends. The family has included many dogs over the years with Zoe, Priscilla and Lexie keeping the house safe currently.
Charlie proudly served the community as a realtor with over 40 years of dedicated service. He retired in February 2020 from RE/MAX after 22 years of service. Throughout his career he was the recipient of many awards and achievements including an award as a member of the RE/Max 100% Club for top sales. His favorite award was the one he received one year for having the lowest dollar sale of the year!
Charlie was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Illinois and a member of the Knights of Columbus Tri-Cities Council #1019 in Granite City. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed attending many games with games 6 and 7 of the 2011 World Series being his favorite. He also enjoyed a good game of poker, even winning on cruises with the family. Charlie had fun coaching his kids basketball teams and was proud to have once made 49 free throws in a row. He was famous for his skill as a wiffle ball pitcher.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on June 14, from 9:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Father Steve Thompson officiating and Mat Conway from First United Presbyterian providing special music. Monte Eugene Ritchie was set free from his life at 4:43 PM on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, in Granite City, Illinois. He was born on Tuesday February 19th, 1991, in Granite City to the late Jodie Jack Ritchie and Stephanie Sue (Linhart) Ritchie, who survives.
In addition to his mother, Monte also leaves behind his surviving sister, Irish twin, and other half, Kayla Marie Ritchie. The bond between them was very apparent to all who know them and undeniable, how much they are alike. How they’ve survived and how they care so very similar, yet they were also polar opposites, the perfect Yin and Yang. Monte also leaves behind his nephew. David Ray Linhart or as he would say his “son”.
In addition to his father Jodi, Monte was preceded in death by his baby sister “Britt Bratt” Brittany Nicole Ritchie, his grandfather & “dad” Danny Gene Linhart Sr., Aunt Shawna Clark. Cousin Ryan Arthur Hawkes, paternal grandparents Monte and Geraldine Ritchie, Aunt Laura Ritchie, and Aunt Opal Turner.

The loving husband and father enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He was also known for playing horseshoes.

John Paul Heuer, 73, of Granite City, IL, died at 4:08 p.m. Sun. June 8, 2025 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born Aug. 24, 1951 in St. Louis, MO to the late John Paul and Grace Florence (Bertchmann) Heuer.
John married Paula Kathleen Miller in the Summer of ‘69. She preceded him in death June 20, 2006.
John worked in skilled labor and as a forklift operator. He loved to cook, watch the St. Louis Cardinals and play Trivial Pursuit with his brother, Tim, and brother-in-law, George.

He was born on June 3, 1956 in Granite City, IL to Denver and Ida (Zimmer) Mercer.
Glynn retired from Sigma Aldrich after 20 years of service as a chemical processor.
He was an avid chess player and political philosopher. Glynn also enjoyed reading, doing carpentry and enjoying the outdoors.

Zerelda Ann Miles, (neé, Jones), 85, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Evelyn’s House in St. Louis, Missouri. Born September 10, 1939, in Meridian, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of the late Clyde and Lela (Henderson) Jones.
On May 18, 1962, Ann united in marriage with the love of her life, Charles E. Miles, in Meridian, Mississippi. Their 27 years together were a testament to unwavering love and devotion, a bond that endured until his passing in 1989.
A true Southern belle at heart, Ann carried the warmth and charm of the South with her, even after six decades in the Midwest.
She dedicated 27 years of her life as a compassionate CNA at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, Illinois, serving her community with excellence and pride. Ann’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, reflected in her long-standing membership at Calvary Baptist Church in Granite City and her daily devotional readings. In addition, Ann often enjoyed attending church with her daughter at First Baptist Maryville in Maryville, Illinois. Her culinary skills were legendary, as she effortlessly prepared traditional Southern meals that left family and friends with full stomachs and warm hearts. Ann was a master of bargain hunting and a wizard of home shopping on QVC and jewelry TV. She never missed an opportunity to dress up and show off her beautiful jewelry. Ann had an effortless charm, endearing herself to all with her natural wit and humor. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, adoring Nana, and a doting great-grandmother. Ann’s legacy of compassion, empathy, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

David Allen Ray, 57, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at his home.
David was born on April 18, 1968 in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Lonzo and Ruth Evelyn (Brock) Ray.
David was a good man—steadfast, hardworking, and full of heart. He had a sense of humor that could light up a room, and a spirited, sometimes unpredictable nature that made life around him anything but dull.
Those who knew him appreciated his authenticity and his unwavering loyalty.
One of the deepest bonds he shared was with his beloved service dog, Miss Muffet. She was more than a companion; she was a constant by his side, and her quiet devotion reflected the kind of man David was. She will miss him dearly, as will all who had the privilege of knowing him.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy “Tim” Haller, 60, of Granite City, IL, who departed this life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at his home. Born on August 31, 1964, in East St. Louis, IL, Tim was the beloved son of the late Bernell and Ethel Mae (Hart) Haller.
On August 9, 1997, Tim married the love of his life, Regina “Gina” Miskell, and together they shared a bond that was unwavering, full of laughter, love, and loyalty.
A proud and dedicated motor operator at Stein Steel Mill for many years, Tim was admired by coworkers for his work ethic and grit.
Tim was a true original. Whether he was riding his Harley on open roads, organizing spirited motorcycle rallies like the legendary Frosty Ball Ride on New Year’s Day, or tinkering in his garage, Tim lived life with passion and purpose. He was a jack of all trades, a gifted artist, and a skilled tattooist with a talent for bringing imagination to life with ink and sketch.
He was the kind of man who never met a stranger—friendly, generous, and endlessly kind. Whether it was helping a neighbor, fixing what was broken, or giving a home to a stray animal, Tim gave of himself freely and with a full heart. He will be remembered most for his deep devotion to family, his fierce loyalty, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Haller.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Haller of Granite City, IL; his children who brought him immense pride and joy—Rachel (Louis) Kampouris of Overland, MO, Gabriel Haller of Granite City, IL, Chaz Haller of Roxanna, IL, Courtney Haller of Granite City, IL, and Sarah Berkman of Worden, IL; and his cherished grandchildren, Payten, Isabel, Everley, Kolston, and Zyla. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Curtis Haller of Madison, IN, Linda Haller of Shell Knob, MO, Carol Gregory of Pleasant Hill, IA, and Diane Carroll of Edwardsville, IL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and fellow riders who will carry his memory forward.
A memorial service celebrating Tim’s remarkable life will be held at a later date.

Elizabeth Marie Cope, 89, of Granite City, Illinois went to be with her Lord on June 7, 2025, at the St. Paul’s Senior Living Community in Belleville, Illinois.
She was born June 1, 1936, in Riddle, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Eunice Ray (Burgess) Penney.
She married the love of her life, Reverend Alfred E. “Gene” Cope on February 14, 1957, and he passed away on March 18, 2011.
She was a retired bookkeeper and had worked for St. Francis Hospital in Peoria and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City.
Elizabeth was a member of City Temple and had served as a pastor’s wife with the Assembly of God church since 1960 and enjoyed the many years of service and touching the lives of many. She will be remembered for her love for God, her family and her caring heart for others.
She enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting, working puzzles, watching old western movies, loved Disney, and enjoyed seeing the ocean, lighthouses and Thomas Kinkade. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Eugene Coughlin of Collinsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Tammy Cope Jr. of Granite City and Rev. Richard L. and Debbie Cope of Dayton, Texas; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Amy, Marissa, Jonathan, Emily, Tiffany, Tabitha, Timothy and Trevorr; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, Ule Penney; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Cope; six sisters, Izola, Dora, Eunice, Eva, Casa and Meta and five brothers, Ray, Monte, Bruce, Lonnie and Oral.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Visitation will continue at City Temple, 4751 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Randle Copeland, Rev. Roy Boyer and Rev. Sam Hart will officiate.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Desmond “Travis” Huddleston, 85, of Granite City, IL passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his home.
He was born on October 1, 1939 in Grandin, MO to Gordon and Lorene (Phillips) Huddleston.
Travis married Janice McDowell in St. Louis, MO on August 15, 1981.
The loving husband, father and grandfather was a man of many talents. He was known as PaPa Fix it as he could build and fix just about anything. He enjoyed doing lawn work and his lawn looked like a park and he was very proud of it.
Travis is survived by his wife; 4 daughters: Debbie (Mike) Kwiatkowski of Arnold, MO, Anita Strannigan of Granite City, Marla Nelson of Moro, IL and Tammy (Don) Mitchell of Granite City; 4 sons: Duane (Mindy) Huddleston of Hillsboro, MO, Kelly (Vera) Matthews of Hobbs, NM, Mike Huddleston of TX and Dale Huddleston of TX; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and 2 sisters: Betty Price of Granite City and Kathy (Bobby) Pieper of Granite City.
Besides his parents, Travis is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Huddleston; a son, Vernon Cloninger; a brother Donald Huddleston and a sister, Sharon Linton.

John Howard Schuessler, 86, formerly of Granite City, IL, died at 2:25 a.m. Sat. June 7, 2025 at Delmar Gardens on the Green in Chesterfield, MO.
He was born Aug. 19, 1938 in Jacksonville, IL to the late John Schuessler and Helen (Bauser) Schuessler.
He and Wanda Mason (Cave) Schuessler were married in 2004. She preceded him in death June 25, 2013.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran and loved to tell stories about his time in the service while stationed in Australia. He worked various jobs throughout his life including for the carnival, Boeing and later retired from a cleaning company. He loved being outdoors, gardening and tending to his flowers and chickens. He also enjoyed traveling, listening to the radio and watching classic movies and westerns. He could always be found with his sidekick pup, Titan.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Halbert, two sons, Scott Willman, and, Ronnie Schuessler, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, brother, Larry Schuessler, and, sister, Patricia Farley.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbra Schuessler, and two brothers, Paul Schuessler, and, Robert Schuessler, and a sister, Janice Christensen.
John made a gift of his body to Washington University School of Medicine. The family will gather for a memorial cemetery service with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Fri. June 20, 2025.

Hilda Gray Cottrell, 87, of Granite City, IL, died at 6:35 a.m. Sun. June 8, 2025 at Stearns Nursing and Rehab in Granite City.
She was born Jan. 30, 1938 in Stewart Co., TN to the late Lilly (Rippy) Collins Spicer and Oakley Collins.
On May 30, 1954, she and Richard Wesley Cottrell were married in Granite City. He survives.
Hilda was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle.
In addition to her husband of 71 years, she is survived by 2 sons, Jim (Martha) Cottrell, and Tom Cottrell of Granite City, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 2 sisters, Diane Poe of Granite City, and Nancy Collins of Alton, IL, and a brother, Charles Collins of Granite City.

Jeanette Hoese, (neé, Clow), 85, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born February 5, 1940, in Granite City, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Lottie (Kardasz) Clow.
Jeanette’s life was a tapestry woven with vibrant threads of joyous occasions, cherished memories, and love. Her nimble fingers worked wonders as a seamstress, always ready to hem, alter, and create with unparalleled talent. As a hairdresser, she brought beauty and confidence to those she touched. An avid bowler, she graced many leagues with her spirited presence.
She was passionate about rooting for her beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and she found joy in listening to Mike Shannon’s broadcasts or catching the games on TV. She enjoyed the lights and sounds of local casinos, trying her luck with the slot machines at Lumiere Casino. In her younger years, Jeanette was a social butterfly, fluttering from one joyous gathering to another, leaving laughter and warmth in her wake. Friends and family fondly remember her as a “character” and a spirited “spitfire” who was forthright and always clear in affections and convictions. Jeanette will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy of excitement, compassion, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Clow and her former spouse, Bobby Hoese.

Gerald “Jake” Francis Kalert, 91, of Mitchell, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, on January 28, 1934, Jake was the cherished son of the late Ralph and Bernice (Goza) Kalert Sr. A proud veteran, Jake honorably served in the United States Navy, embodying the values of dedication and service that would define his life.
Jake retired from Granite City Steel in 1996 after 38 years of unwavering commitment and hard work. A man of many talents and passions, he was a proud member of the Granite City Elks Lodge #1063 and an enthusiastic participant in the Senior Olympics, where he was honored as the State of Illinois Athlete of the Year. In 1997, Jake was inducted into the Granite City Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to wrestling and football—an achievement that reflected his lifelong love of sports and competition.
Beyond his accolades, Jake was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for fishing, woodworking, and exploring the beauty of the United States and worldwide through travel. But above all, Jake treasured his family. His heart belonged to those he loved, and time spent with them was his greatest joy.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings, Shirley Buesking, Ralph Kalert Jr., and Leonard Kalert.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, whom he married on August 28, 1992, Amy Kalert of Granite City, IL; his loving children, Michael (Gena Kay) Kalert of Bethalto, IL, Denise (Dave) Lofink of Granite City, IL, and David (Scott Eberhart) Kalert of Glen Carbon, IL; his beloved grandchildren, Steven Kalert, Melissa Sullivan, Maerhanda Rolens, and Jacob Kalert; his cherished great-grandchildren, Destiny, Joseph, Aubrey, and Paige; and two precious great-great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Teghan. Jake also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss his generous spirit, warm smile, and steadfast presence.
A celebration of Jake’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Irwin Chapel in Granite City, IL. Jeanne Marie Chrismer Mullen, 70, of Granite City, IL, died at 4:47 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her home surrounded by her girls, while under hospice care.
She was born Sept. 19, 1954 in Jennings, MO to the late Eugene and Phyllis (Lamar) Chrismer.
Jeanne met Harrison Eugene Mullen in 1985 and they later married May 26, 1993 in Granite City. He preceded her in death Mar. 20, 2022.
Jeanne became a nurse but discovered her greatest joy was being a mom, and she cherished being mom, grandma and great-grandma. She loved to shoot pool and played on several teams and in several leagues in the Granite City area. She also took up rock painting and was quite talented.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Larissa (Timothy) Mullen, Kirsten (David) Foreshee, and Michelle (Sean Miller) Hansen, 5 grandchildren, Shaun Michael Mullen, Meghan Hahne, Courtney Jenkins, Chelsea Orasco, and Heather Marie Cochran, 7 great-grandchildren, Clara Joann, Wyatt David, Mitchell, Michael, Eliza Jo, Coralynn, and Lillian, 2 brothers, Jim Chrismer, and Ted Chrismer, and a sister, Carol Dibbler.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakota Chrismer, and 2 brothers, Ed Chrismer, and Timothy Chrismer.

Gary Lee Stieglitz, age 73, of Granite City, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Born on November 4, 1951, in Staunton, IL, Gary was the beloved son of the late Richard and Donna (Sawyer) Sturdivant.
A proud United States Army veteran, Gary served his country with honor and dedication. On September 7, 1971, he married the love of his life, Pamela “Pam” Rudd, in Salem, MO. Gary retired in 2017 from Amsted Rail in Granite City, IL, after many years of dedicated service as a pipefitter.
Gary’s passions included fishing in his younger years, reading avidly, and excelling in bowling, where he achieved numerous perfect 300 games.
He will be remembered as a hard-working family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His legacy of love and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jeff departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois, surrounded by love.
Born on September 14, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, Jeff was the beloved son of the late William Bryan Davis Jr. and Geraldine (Hendren) Davis.
On August 31, 1968, he married the love of his life, Margaret Kay Craft, in Memphis, Tennessee. Together, they shared a beautiful journey of 56 years filled with faith, family, and enduring love.
A proud patriot, Jeff answered the call of duty and served his country with honor in the United States Air Force, rising to the esteemed rank of Chief Master Sergeant. His 33 years of distinguished military service were marked by integrity, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Beyond his military career, Jeff was a man of deep faith and compassion. He served as a pastor at several area churches, offering guidance, comfort, and inspiration to countless lives. He was known for his warm heart, wise counsel, and steadfast devotion to God and community.
Jeff found joy in life’s simple pleasures—diving into a good book, cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and watching classic John Wayne westerns. But his greatest joy of all came from the time he spent with those he cherished most—his family and friends.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kay Davis of Granite City; his daughter and pride, Kim Davis of Granite City; his sister, Nelda Jackson of Bartlett, Tennessee; and his faithful grand puppy, Shadow. He also leaves behind many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss his steady presence, hearty laugh, and generous spirit.

Christina Louise “Christie” McClintock, 49, of Maryville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born November 10, 1975, in Granite City, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Diane Allen and the Late Donald Gary Allen.
Christie was a proud and dedicated registered nurse, whose career spanned nearly two decades at Anderson Hospital as a labor and delivery nurse.
She later embraced the role of a travel nurse before focusing on mental health care locally.
Her exceptional talents and compassionate care earned her The DAISY Award twice, a testament to her unwavering dedication to her patients.
Beyond her professional life, Christie had a deep passion for music, often attending concerts and finding solace at the beach. Her happy place was where the sand met the water, especially when surrounded by family. Through her work and social connections, Christie never met a stranger; she was known and loved by many in her community.
Christie was outspoken and possessed a wonderful sense of humor.; her smile could light up the room. She was always clear in her affections and convictions, making sure those around her knew where they stood. Her boundless love for her daughters and family was only surpassed by her role as the best Mi-Mi ever. Her legacy of dedication, compassion, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandparents, George Bodi and Louise Vondracek; and her paternal grandparents, Joe and Betty Noll.

Joann Tepfer, 84, of Granite City, IL, died at 8:45 p.m. Mon. June 2, 2025 at her home while under hospice care.
She was born July 13, 1940 in Granite City to the late Charles Patrick and Ella (Hodshire) Kolhage.
She and Doyle Tepfer were married in Collinsville, IL in 1958. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2008.
Joann retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City as an E.R. Communicator after 36 years of service. She had been a member of Dewey Avenue United Methodist Church.
She is survived by 2 sons, Nick (Jenny) Tepfer and Doug Tepfer of Granite City, a grandson, Kyle, a great-granddaughter, Rose, and a sister, Sharon of Texas.

James “Truck” A. Stennett, 78 of Granite City passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Cedar Ridge in Lebanon, IL.
He was born October 17, 1946 in East St. Louis to Herman and Marcella (nee: Dittmer) Stennett.
James is retired from American Steel where he worked as an electrician. He married Sandra “Sandee” (nee: Bridger) Stennett November 29, 2003.
Truck enjoyed fishing, shooting, and watching the Food Network. He was a master of dad jokes.

Garry Dale Sanders, 82, of Madison, IL passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his home.
He was born on November 21, 1942 in Pontiac, MI to James and Thelma (Clark) Sanders.
Garry married Betty Agers in Granite City, IL on October 5, 1974.
The U.S. Army veteran loved to kayak and drive, no matter what type of vehicle. Garry was also an oil painter. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

On April 11, 1952, in San Maria, California, Norma united in matrimony with her soulmate, Ray T. Woll. Their 73 years together stand as a radiant testament to their unwavering love and devotion.
Norma’s hands were ever busy, crafting delicate crochet pieces and intricate quilts that warmed the hearts of family and friends.
She found solace in the embrace of nature, whether camping under starlit skies or casting a line into tranquil waters. The thrill of unearthing hidden treasures with her metal detector brought her joy, as did the simple pleasures of playing dominos and piecing together puzzles. As a devoted mother to seven, Norma’s kitchen was a haven of culinary delights, where she took pride in preparing meals that left everyone with full stomachs and warm hearts. Known for being a bit of “spitfire”, she was a woman of forthrightness, always clear in her affections and convictions. Her boundless capacity for love was a beacon to her family, who were her world. Norma’s love extended beyond her family to her cherished pets, especially her beloved Boston Terriers, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Norma will be remembered as a beloved wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Her legacy of creativity, compassion, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael Woll and Larry Woll; her granddaughter, Emily Rozell; her sisters, Thelma Fravell and Jan Wilmurth; her brothers, Kenneth Lee and Mervin Lee; and her son-in-law, Charlie Hendrix.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Ray T. Woll, of Granite City, Illinois; her children, Debra Hendrix, of Rolla, Missouri, Lanny Woll, of Edwardsville, Illinois, Gregory (Mary) Woll, of Granite City, Illinois, Ricky (Michelle) Woll, of Collinsville, Illinois, and Kimberly (Jay) Rice, of Sedalia, Missouri; her 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Irwin Chapel in Granite City, Illinois with Pastor Cathy Crippen officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
