Granite City’s beloved Community Concert & Swing Band is back for its 38th season, bringing toe-tapping swing, timeless classics, and holiday cheer to audiences across the region. This all volunteer ensemble has become a cherished part of our city’s cultural heartbeat, uniting generations through music, camaraderie, and civic pride.
The band recently announced its Fall Concert Series, kicking off with a free performance on Friday, October 17 at 7 pm at SWIC, Granite City campus located at 4950 Maryville Road. Known for their energetic swing band sets and their breathtaking Christmas concert, the group continues to inspire with every note. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time attendee, their concerts offer a joyful escape and a celebration of local talent.

With lush arrangements and festive flair, it’s a performance that brings the spirit of the season to life. Let’s support the band that’s been supporting our community for nearly four decades. The band welcomes new players of all skill levels. If you play an instrument and want to be part of something special, this is your chance to join a passionate group of performers who make music for the love of it. Rehearsals are held regularly on Thursday nights at St. John’s United Church of Christ located at 2901 Nameoki Rd, Granite City, IL.
