Art was born on January 11, 1939 in Pekin, IL to Ivan and Rekie Lampitt.
He married Elizabeth A. Lampitt of Peoria, IL (formerly of Wilmington, DE) on April 24, 1965 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Peoria, IL.

Perhaps one of his most amazing attributes was his drive and determination, with an utter inability to give up.
Most of all, he loved and missed his wife, Betty, and valued his children and grandchildren. They will miss his quiet presence and his raspy voice.
