On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Granite City came alive in a way that locals won’t soon forget. From noon until 10 PM, the District was transformed into an energetic celebration of music, food, and community spirit as the first-ever Granite City Jam Fest, a family friendly event, drew massive crowds from across the region.

The turnout was nothing short of remarkable with visitors from as far as Festus Missouri to St. Louis and more. Local residents from Granite City and neighboring towns packed the streets, creating an exciting atmosphere filled with laughter, dancing, and connection. While the full economic impact is still being measured, the social impact was immediate as neighbors, friends, and families gathered in unity, proving once again that Granite City knows how to show up.

The event was the brainchild of Phil Callis of Callis Entertainment, whose vision and dedication brought top-tier musical acts to the heart of the city. All presented by Callis Entertainment and Hosted by GARY MICHAELS, Famous Biker Comedian / Hypnotist. With performances by Chained Lightning, Richrath Project 3:13, Derek St. Holmes, and headliner Molly Hatchett, the District was truly rocking from afternoon into night.

Ray Warren and his outstanding team played a vital role in executing the event’s logistics, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Local business owner Holly Taft of Sissy’s Space curated a vendor’s paradise with over 60 vendors, offering a treasure trove of goods that kept shoppers busy all afternoon. Holly Taft’s promotional efforts leading up to the event, helped to bring in tourists that enjoy browsing at Sissy’s Space when visiting the area.

Mayor Mike Parkinson and the City Council lent their full support, and city workers like Rick Daily and the Public Works team were present and working throughout the day to keep the area clean, safe, and welcoming. The Granite City Police Department and Auxiliary PD also maintained a strong and friendly presence, contributing to the secure and festive environment. KSHE’s John Eulitts promotional videos on Facebook, along with the GraniteCityGossip.com online newspaper helped to promote this event to not only Granite City, but also welcoming surrounding communities as well.

Behind the scenes, countless sponsors and contributors made this event possible. Their support laid the foundation for what many hope will become an annual tradition, a celebration of Granite City’s resilience and pride.

If the success of this inaugural Jam Fest is any indication, Granite City is ready to keep the music playing and the momentum growing.
