Manuel Reveles de Loera, 27, and his son Kevin Reveles, 3, both of Granite City, IL passed away Sunday. February 26, 2023 in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico for injuries sustained in a car accident while visiting family and friends.
Manuel was born on October 16, 1995 to Ignacio Reveles and Juana de Loera and their son Kevin was born on July 12, 2019 to Manuel Reveles de Loera and Dania Calderon.
They are survived by their parents and grandparents, as well as their spouse and mother: Dania Calderón; daughter and sister: Camila Reveles; brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles: Álvaro, Ignacia, Zaira, Juan and Mayra; as well as many other family members and friends.
Visits for both Manuel and Kevin will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mon. March 6, 2023 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. The Christian burial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. March 7, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Br. Harold Fisher, IMO as celebrant. Burial will continue at St. John’s Cemetery in Collinsville.

Sharon Sue Meyer, 81, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 1:27 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born November 7, 1941, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Evan J. and Marie G. (Worthen) Curry.
She married Norman H. Meyer Jr. on November 3, 1962, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and he passed away on February 27, 2014.
Sharon was a beautician from 1960 until 2017, working with various beauty shops in the area and enjoyed the many years of friendships made. She cherished her grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Vince Sigite of Granite City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Cindy Meyer of Fowler, Indiana, David Meyer of Granite City and Phil and Stacie Meyer of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, John Sigite, Josh Meyer, Mitchell White and Jacob Meyer; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Curry of Granite City; sister-in-law, Judy Curry of Springfield; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Meyer; a grandson, Chad Sigite and a brother, William Curry.
In celebration of her life and in accordance to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no service will be held.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorials are suggested to Vitas Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Willie A. Garnett, 73, of Pontoon Beach, Illinois passed away at 12:43 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023, at his home.
He was born May 10, 1949, in Albuquerue, New Mexico, a son of the late Willie A. and Jeanne (Wernhoff) Garnett.
He had worked as a security guard for many years and enjoyed reading and watching movies. The United States Army veteran proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Harris of Pontoon Beach; a grandson, Lawrence Harris III of Pontoon Beach; two sisters, Anita Boon and Marcia Koleff; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, a graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. You may meet the family around 1:15 p.m. at the Sylvan Springs family gathering lot which is located on Sheridan Road before the main entrance of the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Larry Andrew Diak, 79, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his home.
He was born July 26, 1943, in Granite City, Illinois, a son of the Andrew and Gladys (Miles) Diak.
He married Janice E. (Albers) Diak on June 26, 2002, in Edwardsville and she survives.
Mr. D retired from the Granite City School District in May 2007 after forty-one and a half years of dedicated service as a teacher at Coolidge. He enjoyed his years of teaching, coaching track, basketball and khoury league baseball and was loved by all. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by three children, Laura Anderson of Glendale, Arizona, Beth (Jerry) Hakey of Essex and Adam Diak of Granite City; two grandchildren, Ean Anderson and Collin Hakey; three stepchildren, Jack (Julie) Carmody of Troy, Brian (Bekki) Melson of Hamel and Jenn Burton of Granite City; ten step grandchildren, Jocelynn, Jilliann, Brynn, Liam, Weston, Campbell, Cooper, Walker, Tanner and Tyler; a sister, Nancy Diak of Granite City; a brother, Harry (Christine) Diak of Wentzville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Joanne (Robert) Conaway of Ballwin, Missouri; niece, Amy Diak of Florida; other extended family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Doug Anderson and a grandson, Andrew Anderson.
In celebration of his life, a memorial gathering will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. with family and friends. Celebration will continue at Bindy’s in Granite City following the memorial service.
A private family burial will be at St. John Cemetery on Nameoki Road in Granite City at a later date.

Becky Ann Schmieg, 63, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:03 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
She was born June 25, 1959, in Granite City, a daughter of the late James “Jimmy” and Emily L. (Sowada) Gibbs.
Becky was employed in the Accounting Department and had over 45 years of dedicated service at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City. She had much love and interest visiting the Amish country in Central Illinois, enjoyed her trips to the local casinos and always had a great time with her Bunco girls. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and many friends.
She is survived by a son, Aaron Schmieg and his girlfriend, Jamie Kristiansen of Granite City; five siblings and their spouses, Susan and Ronald Medley of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Jeneanne and Kim Fock of O’Fallon, Missouri, Barry and Cindy Gibbs of Granite City, Christy and Robert Staicoff of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri and Jeffrey and Sabrina Gibbs of St. Louis, Missouri; two God-children, Emily Staicoff Johnson and Kyle Gibbs; grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Gibbs.
In celebration of her life and in accordance to her wishes, a memorial will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Gloria L. “G.G.” Tellor, 90, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 3:02 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born June 14, 1932, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Pink Blanton and Eva Dora “Dorie” (Cottrell) Sykes.
Gloria lived her life caring for children and put her heart and soul into working at Wee Care Learning Center in Granite City for the past 30 years. She cherished her family and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed working puzzles and playing cards with her family. She was a longtime member of Glenview Church of the Nazarene in Glen Carbon.
Gloria married the love of her life, Gerald A. Tellor on August 12, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas and he passed away on October 28, 2006.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Michael and Jane Tellor of Englewood, Florida, Keith and Lori Tellor of Columbia, Randal and Denise Tellor of Granite City and Cynthia and Dr. Loftin C. Woodiel of East Alton; six grandchildren and spouses, Ryan Tellor, Brent Tellor, Libbye Tellor, Amanda and Chad McClellan, Matthew and Christine Woodiel, Emmilee and Rickey Barnett; eight great-grandchildren, Levi Woodiel, Abram Woodiel, Kynlee Barnett, Maebree Barnett, Whitley Barnett, Henry McClellan, Claire McClellan and Ivy McClellan; brother, Bobby “Pete” Sykes of Bethalto; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Roy Dix of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Oleta Peppers, Rebecca Yagow, Betty Withers, Donald Sykes, Phyllis Sykes, Lela Murphy, Rosella Beckley and William Sykes.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, with Dr. Loftin C. Woodiel officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Edward E. Gerber, 66, of Granite City, IL died on Friday, February 24, 2023 at his home.
He was born on September 20, 1956 in Granite City, IL to Charles Gerber, Sr and Patsy (Seimer) Gerber.
Edward married Kathy Baker in Granite City on February 2, 1981.
The loving husband and father worked as a self-employed contractor for over 35 years. He was a member of the Granite City Eagles and loved to ride motorcycles and play pool. He also enjoyed karaoke, Rock n Roll and going on trips.
Besides his wife, Edward is survived by 2 daughters: Patty Gerber of Granite City and Melissa (Cole) Smith of Granite City; a son, Eddie, Jr (Erin) Gerber of Edwardsville and 5 grandchildren: Alex, Richard, Tara, Jakob and Kaleb. Also surviving are 4 brothers: Charles Gerber, Jr of OK, Mike Gerber of OK, Robert (Melinda) Gerber of Granite City and Mark (Lisa) Gerber of Decatur, IL.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.

Lisa Marie Dunnavant-Polach, 46, of Granite City died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on October 11, 1976 in Granite City, IL to Michael A. and Trudy Ellen (Trindall) Dunnavant.
Lisa married Frank Polach, Jr in Edwardsville, IL on February 21, 2003and he preceded her in death in 2018.
The loving mother enjoyed listening to Rock and Rap music and having fun. She loved her children and family and will be missed.
Lisa is survived by a daughter, Ashley Marie Polach; 2 sons: Frank Joseph Polach and Ryan Michael Polach and a brother, Michael D. (Lorrie) Dunnavant.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Austin Drake Norton, 29, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023, from injuries sustained in a work-related accident in Granite City.
He was born November 11, 1993, in Granite City to Melanie (Salmon) Greco and Alan Norton.
Austin was employed as a laborer with A&K Railroad Materials in Granite City. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved times spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother and father, Melanie and Bobby Greco of Granite City; his father, Alan Norton of Granite City; grandparents, Hal and Dawn Salmon of Arizona and Sue Greco of Elkville; niece, Loni Mae Blume of Granite City; aunts and uncles, Stacy (Gary Gabbard) Pruett of Granite City, Vince (Cara Paoli) Paskus of Granite City, Dawna (Paul) Smith of Highland and Chris (Angie) Burns of Millstadt; cousins, Garret Gabbard, Eastin and Emberly Paskus; other extended family and many friends.

Thomas E. Thompson ‘Tinker’ – Of Granite City, IL, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Age 61.
Survived by his wife Catherine A. (nee Riess) Thompson; three brothers Vernon (Betty) Yount, Larry (Bonita) Yount and James (Kathy) Yount; three sisters Barabara Coveney, Kathie Connor and Donna Coburn; and special brothers Michael (Donna) Chrisos, John Chrisos and a stepson Patrick Vandaveer. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer M. Maedge; his parents Eugene and Thelma (nee Lucas) Thompson; two sisters Karen Yount and Shirley Barr.
‘Tinker’ was born January 5, 1962, in East St Louis, Illinois. Formerly employed at PreCoat Metals.
He enjoyed tinkering on lawn equipment and cars. When he was able, he enjoyed riding on his motorcycle and his daily meetings at Denny’s with the ‘coffee clutch’ crew.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stephanie and Sammy, for their loving care given to Thomas and the family during this time.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded with an inurnment at St. John’s Cemetery to be held at a later date. Memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
Shelley Holiday Coe Russell, 50, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sat. Feb. 18, 2023.
She was born Oct. 29, 1972 in St. Louis, MO to Janet Seka VanDeusen of Granite City.
Shelley had been a massage therapist. She loved Freddie Mercury and listening to music, especially Queen. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and friends and playing jokes. She enjoyed shopping for hours and buying gifts for others.
In addition to her mother, survivors include 3 children: David G. (Cescelli) DeForest Jr. of Granite City, Kayla Russell of Granite City and Noah Russell of Granite City; 3 grandchildren: Jax Vee, Celia and Daxton; a brother: Charlie VanDeusen of Granite City; and a sister: Diane VanDeusen of Granite City;
Shelley never wanted people to cry over her passing and the family will hold a celebration of her life with laughter and stories at a later date.
Mary Lee Krohne, 93, of Glen Carbon and Granite City, Illinois passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
She was born October 11, 1929, in Granite City, the daughter of the late Eurba and Anna Mabel (Lamb) Cline. She married Carl William “Skip” Krohne Jr. on October 23, 1948, at St. John United Church of Christ in Granite City and he passed away on January 23, 2016.
Mary Lee was a faithful member of St. John United Church of Christ. She and her husband owned and operated Aqua Marine Sales for many years and a real estate brokerage, Krohne Properties, where she worked as a realtor and property manager. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life. She enjoyed traveling with her family, taking the motorhome on many journeys and was generally the spectator for many family adventures of boating, skiing and scuba diving.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda “Susie” and John Nitchman of Glen Carbon, a son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Kathy Krohne of Manchester, Missouri, three grandchildren and spouse, Melissa and Brandon McIntosh of Edwardsville, Sara Nicely of Champaign and Mary Beth Nicely of Ballwin, Missouri, five great grandchildren, Charlotte, Autumn, Cason, Andrew and Kayla, Godchild, Rick Stille, other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband of over 67 years and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eurba Lloyd and Lorin Cline.

Michael Alan Harlan, 63, of Granite City, IL passed away in his home February 19, 2023.
He was born to the late Ray and Opal (Lee) Harlan in East. St. Louis on June 30, 1959. Michael was a happy go lucky guy who loved life. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Mason and riding his motorcycle. He would give you the shirt off his back or help you in any way he could. He will be greatly missed.
Michael is survived by 2 step daughters; Carly Slay and Tiffany Whitt; a stepson: Joe Whitt; a grandson: Mason Levering; a sister: Connie Holmes; 4 brothers: Ray (Connie) Harlan, George (Judy) Harlan, Robert Harlan and James (Debbie) Harlan; a sister -in-law Donna Harlan, his former wife, Stephanie Harlan and many nieces and nephews.

Nyle Wayne Wright, 87, of Granite City, IL passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born to the late William and Louise (Clark) Wright on May 25, 1935 in Hunter, Arkansas.
After his time in the military, the U.S. Army Airborne veteran worked as a truck driver in construction and was a lifetime member of the Venice Social Club. He loved duck hunting and being outdoors and was a championship duck caller.
Nyle Is survived by his loving companion: Marilyn Rice of Granite City; a daughter: Michelle Will of Granite City; a son: Chuck Wright of West Frankfort, IL, 2 step-daughters: Heather Nash and Kim (Dale) Martin of Granite City; a step-son: Larry White of Granite City; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister: Lois Essenpreis of Granite City, IL and other special family members: step-granddaughter: Alayna Metzger and niece, Kellie (Grant) White all of Granite City and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Lenny Wright; and 2 sisters: Janice Minder and Vicki Eckert.

Barbara “Barb” Lettie Milam (nee Lassen) – Age 78, of Granite City, IL, passed away peacefully with her son Vernon “Russell” by her side on Saturday, February 18, 2023, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer and renal failure.
Survived by her two children Loretta VanWynsberg and Vernon “Russell” Parks Jr. Eight grandchildren Dawn, Rusty, Tabitha, Steven, Tina, Taylor, Colton and Emily; seven great grandchildren Alexa, Brayden, Connor, Alana, Andrew, Thai and Annaliegh. A sister Janice (Jim) Tipler and a brother Gary (Gloria) Lassen; two special nieces Debbie Ortiz and Janet Baum. Also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Helen (late Frank) Barrett and Marjorie (late Jay) Ortiz, her brother Harold (Marie) Lassen and a grandson Andrew Hampton.
Barb was born July 15, 1944, in Venice, Illinois. She was a devout Christian and started every morning by reading her daily devotions, which she shared with her sister, Janice.
Member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Granite City, where she was also a member of the quilting circle, as well as the church prayer wheel.
She enjoyed gospel and country music, and watching RFD-TV. She was known to binge watch ‘Blue Bloods’ and ‘Reba’ on a regular basis. Barb loved traveling to Branson with her longtime companion, ‘CW’, her sister and other friends.
Retired from Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville in 2007, where she was a CNA. Prior to working as a CNA she worked for Swift Printing Company in St. Louis for over 30 years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jesse Tedder officiating Internment Sunset Hill Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Calvary Baptist Church, Promedica Hospice or charity of donor’s choice will be appreciated.
Lawrence “Larry” David Kamadulski, 75, of Granite City, IL died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Ormond Beach, FL on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
He was born on January 25, 1948 in Granite City, IL to Edward and Pearl (Honeycutt) Kamadulski.
Larry retired from Granite City Steel after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City, the St. Mary’s Booster Club in Madison, the Knights of Columbus in Granite City and the Granite City Eagles.
Larry also was a member of the SOAR Club through the United Steel Worker’s Union and the Metro East Race Club. The loving husband and father enjoyed camping, barbecuing, NASCAR and volunteering for the St. Mary’s Booster Club. He enjoyed spending time with is grandchildren, his dog Charlie and his many friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Kamadulski, 2 daughters; Laura (Dan) Winkle of Granite City and Karla (Dan) Thompson of Naperville, IL; a son, Brian (Diana) Kamadulski of Edwardsville; 6 grandchildren: Blake Thompson, Audrey Thompson, Drew Kamadulski, Lily Kamadulski, Wade Kamadulski and Lydia Winkle and a sister in law, Janet Martin of Granite City.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

Kimberly Ann Hebblethwaite, 61 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois with her family by her side.
Kimberly was born on June 12, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri; the daughter of the late Robert B. Hebblethwaite Sr. and Lois (Yates) Hebblethwaite of Granite City.
Kimberly was a supervisory control specialist at Wells Fargo Advisors serving over 36 years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and in her free time Kimberly enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her family and loving on her doggie, Greer. Kimberly will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
In addition to her mom, Kimberly is survived by and will be missed by her sisters; Robyn Walthall of Granite City, Illinois and her sister Deborah Edwards. Nephew, Arville “Dutch” Bedwell and fiance’ Kylee Harnetiaux of Granite City, Illinois; niece, Afton Bedwell and fiance’ Jo Schaefer of Granite City, Illinois; great-nephews, Bentley Bedwell, Oliver Bedwell.
In addition to her dad, Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents; Thelma and Al May, Ava and Coy Hebblethwaite; brother, Robert B. Hebblethwaite Jr.

Joyce I. Lignoul, 91, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her home in Granite City.
She was born July 24, 1931, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Dwight and Helen (Falter) Jackson.
Joyce married Gustave E. Lignoul on June 25, 1949, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Granite City and he passed away on April 28, 2019.
Joyce retired from the Granite City School District after 20 years of dedicated service as a school teacher.
She had graduated from S.I.U.E. in 1967 and was a member of the Illinois Teachers Association. She is a faithful member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She and her husband enjoyed over 20 years of participating with the Senior Olympics and made many trips to National Senior Games.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gustave D. “Gus” and Kim Lignoul of Granite City and John and Becky Lignoul of Port Charlotte, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Connolly of Granite City; eleven grandchildren and spouses, Chad and Alicia Lignoul, Lori and Justin Hawthorne, Mason and Jennifer Connolly, Tim and Heather Connolly Jr., Eddie and Krista Connolly, Andrea and Jason Sitzes, Ashley and Max Kipfer, Tyler and Kali Lignoul, Bridgett Burns, Wade Burns and Shane Burns; twenty one great grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, Cameron, Camden, Easton, Chase H., Jaxon, Jacy, Evan, Patrick, Quinn, Emilee, Logan, Parker, Aleah, Chase K., Alexys, Austin, Shawn, Mariah and Alicen; two great-great grandchildren, Brookelyn and Wyatt; two nieces; seven nephews; other extended family and friends.

August Monroe Hufstedler, 72, of Madison, IL, passed away at 10:38 p.m. Thurs. Feb. 16, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born Jan. 27, 1951 in Edwardsville, IL to the late Frank & Norma Rozella (Penrod) Hufstedler.
August was a jack of all trades, working automotive repair, construction and as a general handyman. He had been a member of Faith In The Word.
Survivors include 3 children: August (Selma) Hufstedler of Maryland Heights, MO, William Hufstedler of Granite City, IL and Kimberly Hufstedler of Granite City; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Frank (Rosemary) Hufstedler of Belleville, IL and John (Nancy) Hufstedler of Granite City.

Pamela Elaine Campbell, 74 of Madison, IL passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 peacefully in her home.
She was born to Imogene (Gamble) Richmond and the late Willis Richmond on December 6, 1948 in Granite City, IL. Pamela met Gary Campbell and they were married on December 28, 1964. Pamela loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. When she wasn’t with her family, she loved to spend her time at the Casinos and loved decorating her house for Christmas with the 300 Santa figurines she had in her collection.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Gary Campbell; her mother; Imogene Campbell; a daughter Tonya (Donna) Campbell; a son: Gary (Cathy) Campbell; 5 grandchildren: Zac ( Sabrina) Campbell, Maurie (Sydney) Campbell, Logan Campbell, Dravin Campbell and Memphis Campbell; a great grandchild: Beckett Campbell; and a brother; Don Richmond.

She was born on Oct. 15th, 1957 to Rayburn & Ruth (Umfress) McNeal in Dunklin County, Missouri.

Randall L. Bloodworth, 78, of Granite City, Illinois, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, went to meet his Lord on February 14, 2023, born November 2, 1944 to James and Alene Bloodworth.
Randall was a 1962 GCHS graduate as well as several trade schools. Known for his love of music and an accomplished guitarist. Retired from Bell South as a technician and active member of Communication Workers of America. A proud Vietnam Army Veteran, serving as a chief engineer for American/Vietnam television. Member of American Legion in Jacksonville, and Orlando, Florida. Kentucky designated him as an honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was active in past activities of Freemasonry of Jacksonville, Florida. And a new member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City, Illinois.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harland, and Paul; and sisters, Deltha, and Patricia. Survived by brothers, Jerry, and Robert Bloodworth; sisters, Judy Graf, Barbara Edgell, Beverly Hammonds, and Sharon Bloodworth; and two special nieces and caregivers, Mandy Bloodworth, and Gabrielle Wooton and remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Robert “Bob” Astorian, 85 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Villas of Hollybrook in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Bob was born on December 1, 1937 in Granite City; the son of the late Hambar and Zabel (Aidjian) Astorian. Bob was a retired Chief of Police in Granite City where he served for 26 years and then went on to become Director of Court Services in Madison County for 8 years. Bob was an active member of the Illinois Police Association, Madison County Police Association and Southern Illinois Police Chiefs Association.
He served as a board member of the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southern Illinois, served 8 years as a board member of the St. Louis Major Case Squad. Was a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, a member of the Illinois Probation of Court Service Administration and a member of the Granite City Board of Fire and Police Commissioner’s. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Granite City and in his free time, Bob enjoyed his days of fishing and spending time with his family. Bob will be remembered for his public service and all the special times he shared with his family.

Ronald M. Geldmacher, 75 of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Ronald was born on July 26, 1947 in Independence, Missouri; the son of the late Melvin and Maxine (Wilson) Geldmacher Watson.
Ronald had worked for yard maintenance at United States Steel serving 15 years and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He previously served as a Pastor of Graceland Church (Johnson Road Baptist Church) in Granite City and was a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City.
Ronald was active in the community and on Monday’s volunteered at State Park Food Pantry and could often be found at Elmwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Maryville visiting residents. Ronald will be remembered for the love of his family and all the special times they shared together.

Elaine Estelle Bruns (nee Helmich), 91, of Granite City, IL, born July 21, 1931 in Troy, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:18 pm at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and loved Jesus.
Elaine met her husband, Vernon H. Bruns, through the church that they both attended and Walther League.
They married on November 18, 1950, and lived together for 63 years on their farm. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, farmer, grandmother , sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed. She enjoyed farming, traveling, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and quilting. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and always cherished holding them as infants.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Bruns (2014); parents, Irwin Helmich and Estelle (nee Niebrugge); and brothers, Earl, Ray, and Clyde Helmich.

Katherine M. Butkovich, 97, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:13 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
She was born November 27, 1925, in Richmond Heights, Missouri, a daughter of the late Theodore and Erna (Crider) Hamilos.
She married Walter V. Butkovich on January 25, 1947, in Madison, Illinois and he passed away on November 1, 2005.
She served 25 years of dedicated service in the loan department at the First National Bank in Granite City. She was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #222 and loved to play Bingo. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary Butkovich of Granite City, Tom and Jeannie Butkovich of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and Tony and Joan Butkovich of Granite City; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

Regina K. “Gina-Boo” Coryell, 63, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born June 27, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Eugene and Nettie (Pinnon) Koehler.
Gina was a loving and faithful homemaker and had also worked many years on the assembly lines in several warehouses.
She had a love for her cats and dog and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows. She loved tending to her yard, taking care of her many beautiful flowers and sitting back watching her birds and butterflies. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.

Donna married Michael Kaminski in Granite City, IL on August 9, 1975. He preceded her in death in 2016.
The loving mother and grandmother worked as a pre -school teacher for St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Granite City for 25 years.
She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary Club. Donna enjoyed owls, anything colored orange, gardening and baking. She was involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in the past. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She enjoyed her many years of ministering along side of her husband to many people. She was a faithful homemaker, dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends.

Dorothy H. Kromraj, 92, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Granite Nursing and Rehab in Granite City.
She was born August 9, 1930, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Stanley F. and Frances (Luzenski) Wielgus.
She married Matthew T. Kromraj on October 20, 1951, at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granite City and he survives.
Dorothy had worked with the Corp of Engineers for 15 years and retired in 1995 from St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Granite City after 16 years of dedicated service as a medical records clerk.
She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City where she was active with the church quilters and served many years as a volunteer at Holy Family School. She enjoyed sewing, was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

Wanda Lee Marie Findlow, 89 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
Wanda was born on January 3, 1934 in Bradley, Illinois the daughter of the late Willard and Cora (Bess) Adams.
Wanda married the love of her life, Alvie Irving Findlow, on March 3, 1956 in Booneville, Mississippi and he passed away on December 31, 2012.
Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family.
She will be remembered for her love of the Lord and her family and all the special times they shared together. She was a faithful member of Glenview Assembly of God Church in Granite City.
Wanda is survived by and will be missed by her 3 children and spouses, Lynnea (William) Carr of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, Ellen Cross of Springfield, Illinois, and Tom (Rosemarie) Findlow of Pontoon Beach, Illinois. 7 grandchildren and spouses, Stacey (David) Parrish, Dustin (Diane) Rieger, Kristina (Kody) Halcom, Jamie (Rory) Isaac, Michelle (Clinton) Watkins, Tiffany (Jeremy) Hendricks, Terri (Aaron) Clayton, and 10 great-grandchildred. She is also survived by a brother, David Adams of Washington.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Alvie Irving Findlow, son-in-law William Cross, and several brothers and sisters.
In celebration of Wanda’s life, a visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City with Pastor Tom O’Keefe officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City.
Stephen D. Vardell, 76 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Stephen was born on August 7, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri; the son of the late JC and Mavis (Ridenour) Vardell. Stephen was a pioneer in the ethanol industry where he developed a racing fuel, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He attended Calvary Life Church in Granite City and was owner of Daylight Donuts. In addition to his great love of racing cars, Stephen was always looking forward to riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He could often be found at Daylight Donuts for a weekly Bible study. Stephen had a wonderful sense of humor and was known to be very generous. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Most of all Stephen loved his family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Stephen is survived by and will be missed by his wife of over 38 years; Belinda (Redfern) Vardell; children, Tamra Vardell of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sean and Terra Vardell of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Corey Vardell of Granite City, Illinois, Bailee Vardell and fiance’ Zack Walker of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Jack Hardman of Salt Lake City, Utah, Megan and Spencer Warren of Salt Lake City, Utah, Landyn (Hentzell) Vardell of Orange City, Florida, Cadence Wittman of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Raina Fox of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Vayda Vardell of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Zoey Vardell of Granite City, Illinois, Anna Padilla of Granite City, Illinois; sister, Niki and Al Theeuwes of Indianapolis, Indiana and numerous nieces, nephews and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his son; Stephen Troy Vardell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Stephen’s life, funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Lawrence Vincent “Larry” Bilbrey, 85, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:07 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born January 27, 1938, in Granite City, a son of the late Claude and Dorothy “Vicky” (Caruso) Bilbrey.
He married the love of his life, Charlotte M. (Weber) Bilbrey on April 11, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granite City and she survives.
Larry was the owner and operator of Bilbrey Accounting and Tax Service in Granite City for many years. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City and enjoyed his days of playing golf and tending to his garden. He cherished the special times shared with his grandchildren and will be remembered for the love for his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife of 63 years, he is survived by six children, Theresa Browning of South Roxana, Robert “Bob” (Theresa) Bilbrey of Granite City, Jeanne Bilbrey of Granite City, Paul Bilbrey of Granite City, David Bilbrey of Granite City and Margaret “Maggie” Bilbrey of Granite City; seven grandchildren, Paul Browning, Mike Browning, Tim Crisel, Jon Crisel, Tony Bilbrey, Megan Langendorf and Brad Anderson; nine great grandchildren, Matthew, Autumn, Christopher, Ariana, Jayden, Kalin, Willow, Jon and Bane; one brother, Claude Bilbrey of Greensburg, Indiana; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tom Bilbrey and a brother, Charlie Bilbrey.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City with Father Steve Thompson as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Douglas M. Teetor, 88 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Doug was born on September 5, 1934 in Madison, Illinois; the son of the late Levi and Goldie (Cook) Teetor. Doug was an Industrial Engineer for Granite City Steel retiring after 34 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a faithful member of City Temple in Granite City. Doug enjoyed his days of spending time with his family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Doug is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Mary (Gruenenfelder) Teetor, whom he married on October 10, 1959; daughter, Mary Barr of Granite City, Illinois; son, Robert Barr Jr. of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren, Christy and Matthew Tracy of Springfield, Missouri, Breanna Atchley and fiance’ Eric Weis of Granite City, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Shelbie, Bailey, Logan, Liam, Braylon, Bristol; great-great-grandchild, Kylie.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Teetor.

Karen Jean Woodrome, 61, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Sat. Feb. 4, 2023 at Granite Nursing & Rehab in Granite City, IL.
She was born Feb. 26, 1961 in Granite City to Helen (Fedora) Paschedag and the late Robert Paschedag.
Karen had been a waitress for many years and had attended Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved to shoot pool.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister: Kathryn (David) Jones of Granite City; and 3 brothers: Vincent (Yoshie) Paschedag of Punta Gorda, FL, Michael Paschedag of Granite City and John Paschedag of Edwardsville, IL.
The family will hold a private memorial.
Cathy J. Copper, 69, of Granite City passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born to the late Anthony and Mary (Lucido) Greco on June 30, 1953 in Woodriver, IL. Cathy met Eugene Copper in 1970 and they were married on December 14, 1973 in Granite City, IL.
Cathy was part of the Mitchel Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and she enjoyed camping with her husband, playing games and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cathy is survived by her husband Eugene Copper, a son: Tony (Kira) Copper; 5 grandchildren: Kayla Ridenour, Kile Ridenour, Grayson Copper, Luca Copper and Cade Copper; a brother: Thomas (Debbie) Greco; and 2 sisters: Terry (Tim) Loyet and Patty (John) Mooreand many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her daughter Christy Ferguson.

Thomas Lee Richardson, 68, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Thurs. Feb. 2, 2023 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.
He was born Feb. 28, 1954 in Granite City to the late Willerdean (Richardson) Powers and Harry Thornton.
On Dec. 18, 1982, he and Patricia Ann Whitehead were married in Madison, IL. She survives in Granite City.
Tom worked as a security officer for many years. He attended City Temple and loved horseback riding.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Thomas T.J. Joseph Richardson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Sallie (Brad) Busch of Pontoon Beach, IL David (Jane) Smith Sr. of Granite City and Jeffery Allen Smith of Mobile, AL; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Franklin Powers of PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Shannon Richardson; and a sister: Delores Powers.
The family will hold a celebration of Tom’s life at 11:00 a.m. Sat. Feb. 11, 2023 at City Temple Assembly of God.
Monte Ray Wilson, 91 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
Monte was born on March 16, 1931 in Fillmore, Illinois; the son of the late Jesse Raymond and Mildred (Sanders) Wilson. Monte was a retired train engineer at Granite City Steel and in his free time Monte enjoyed his days of being outside fishing, hunting and camping. Monte loved a good game of pool and was always ready to compete in bowling.
Most of all Monte loved his family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Monte is survived by and will be missed by his children; Glen and Jo Wilson of Granite City, IL, Darrell Williams and Laura Bronnbauer of Granite City, IL, Michael and Gail Williams of Granite City, IL, Phyllis Madison of Tulsa, OK; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Sherrie Ustleton and many other close family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Monte was preceded in death by his wife; Mattie “Marie” (Free) Wilson whom he married on August 23, 1958 and his granddaughter.
In celebration of Monte’s life, private family services will be held at a later date.
