\u201cWe\u2019ll do a couple days here and there,\u201d Baumgartner said. \u201cOnce shot and completed, then hopefully it will be distributed a couple months after that on video on demand. Right now I\u2019m getting everything set up, not only funding wise. The script on this is written to a certain extent, but as I\u2019m working with businesses and individuals there will be changes because it\u2019s an interview style, with a reality component.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baumgartner said he\u2019s had experiences with the unexplained since he was young. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI brushed it off as a child,\u201d he said. \u201cBut growing up and older, experiencing things in my life, there was a time I just wasn\u2019t strong. The period progressing from that, I found I sensed things more, almost like as a child.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy Haunted History\u201d will be the first time Baumgartner puts a paranormal twist on the content.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI want, in my show, to show that it\u2019s not a big huge deal when dealing with something,\u201d he said. \u201cPeople are scared to tell anyone else, because they\u2019ll be personified as crazy. I want to show you\u2019re not, you\u2019re not crazy. We are alive right now, but there are other realms in this life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m so humbled with everyone here in Granite City, including the mayor,\u201d he said. \u201cI met with him last week. He let me borrow a pictorial book of Granite City and honestly I have loved it. I\u2019ve been looking through it every single day. It\u2019s so interesting the history of this place.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His love of the entertainment industry was passion-based at first, he recalled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt progressed as I worked with people in the industry,\u201d said Baumgartner, who did a couple plays with Missoula Children\u2019s Theater as a youngster. He also was editor-in-chief of a newspaper he started in high school, The Bronc Writer, based in Blackfoot, Idaho, that won state competition for a couple years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m still very proud of that,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baumgartner also has been greenlit for a horror project to be filmed in Granite City in fall 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI actually got published and wrote a screenplay with a friend, winning an award in a film festival, and it actually got published and now is greenlit to be turned into a movie, called \u2018FAIR,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s on Amazon.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baumgartner has been acting for about seven years in independent films, with some television and Netflix opportunities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m still building up in the industry, as well,\u201d said Baumgartner, who grew up with a family with media background. His mother was a news director for Fox and NBC affiliates for years in Idaho. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Utah, he grew up in Idaho, although his father was born in St. Louis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI moved to New Orleans because there\u2019s lots of history there,\u201d said Baumgartner, who also has lived in Oregon. \u201cI\u2019d never been past the Rockies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“When I closed my eyes and pointed to the map, I was humbled because it was almost like my ancestors were bringing me back,” he said.\u00a0“Another interesting thing about this area for me, as well, is my ancestors created the town of Hermann (Missouri). There are streets named after Baumgartner in St. Louis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
