Granite City seniors kicked off the season in tropical style Friday morning as the Granite City Senior Social Club and the Granite City Township hosted a lively Luau Party at the Township Hall. The event began at 10:30 a.m. and quickly filled with laughter, bright colors, and the unmistakable energy that comes whenever the senior community gathers.

Guests were welcomed with island\u2011themed decorations and a warm, friendly atmosphere. A full lunch was served, giving everyone a chance to relax, visit with friends, and enjoy the afternoon together. The highlight of the celebration came when Frankie and the House Shakers took the stage, bringing their signature sound and keeping the room buzzing with music, dancing, and applause.

The Senior Social Club shared that the turnout was strong and the mood was joyful, with many attendees calling it one of the most fun events of the year so far. Photos from the gathering show smiling faces, colorful leis, and plenty of seniors enjoying the chance to celebrate and socialize.

The Granite City Township and the Senior Social Club continue to work together to provide meaningful, uplifting events for local seniors, and today\u2019s luau was another reminder of how important these gatherings are for connection, community, and good old\u2011fashioned fun.<\/p>\n\n\n
