William \u201cBill\u201d Marconi, recognizing his Feb. 13 retirement. Marconi began his career with the Madison County Sheriff\u2019s Office in February 1999 and most recently served as Director of Court Security, a role he assumed in April 2023.<br>\u00a0<br>Throughout his tenure, he worked in multiple divisions \u2014 including patrol, the jail and investigations \u2014 building a career defined by professionalism, leadership and a commitment to public safety.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cCapt. Marconi\u2019s career reflects a longstanding commitment to serving the residents of Madison County and supporting the administration of justice,\u201d Slusser said. \u201cWe thank him for his years of service and wish him the very best in his retirement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"fonts-plugin-block \" style=\"font-family: Lato;font-weight: normal\">Madison County Sheriff Jeff Connor echoed those sentiments, describing Marconi as a dependable leader who could be trusted to carry out any assignment with professionalism and initiative.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cCapt. Marconi has been a go-to member of this department throughout his career,\u201d Connor said. \u201cNo matter the role \u2014 whether in the jail, patrol or investigations \u2014 we knew the job would be done right.
