After a highly competitive audition process involving thousands of students, Ireland earned 4th chair trumpet in the prestigious Honors Band.<br><br>During the festival, held in Peoria, she rehearsed alongside the top young musicians in Illinois under the direction of Colonel Jason Fettig, former conductor of the President\u2019s Own Marine Band. The intensive rehearsals culminated in the Honors All-State Concert on Saturday, January 31 at the Peoria Civic Center.<br><br>Ireland\u2019s performance was exceptional, and she represented Granite City with distinction.
