But starting in 2026, the law will apply not only to stopped vehicles, but also to authorized vehicles that are moving, such as highway crews filling potholes, striping roads, or performing rolling maintenance operations.<br><br>State officials highlighted the change during Scott\u2019s Law Day, emphasizing that too many first responders, tow operators, and road workers continue to be injured or killed by drivers who fail to move over.
