Granite City\u2019s beloved Community Concert & Swing Band is back for its 38th season, bringing toe-tapping swing, timeless classics, and holiday cheer to audiences across the region. This all volunteer ensemble has become a cherished part of our city\u2019s cultural heartbeat, uniting generations through music, camaraderie, and civic pride.

The band recently announced its Fall Concert Series<\/em>, kicking off with a free performance on Friday, October 17 at 7 pm at SWIC, Granite City campus located at 4950 Maryville Road. Known for their energetic swing band sets and their breathtaking Christmas concert, the group continues to inspire with every note. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time attendee, their concerts offer a joyful escape and a celebration of local talent.

Schedule for their Fall Concert Series:
November 14, 2025 – Grace Baptist Church, 2600 Edwards Street
December 12, 2025 – Unity Baptist Church, 2500 St. Clair Avenue
February 6, 2026 – SWIC Granite City Campus, 4950 Maryville Road
March 20, 2026 – Presbyterian Church, 2160 Demar Avenue
May 1, 2026 – SWIC Granite City Campus, 4950 Maryville Road

As the season progresses, anticipation builds for their annual Christmas concert, a highlight of the local holiday calendar. With lush arrangements and festive flair, it\u2019s a performance that brings the spirit of the season to life. Let\u2019s support the band that\u2019s been supporting our community for nearly four decades. Share the news, attend a concert, or pick up your instrument and join the music.

The band welcomes new players of all skill levels. If you play an instrument and want to be part of something special, this is your chance to join a passionate group of performers who make music for the love of it. Rehearsals are held regularly on Thursday nights at St. John\u2019s United Church of Christ located at 2901 Nameoki Rd, Granite City, IL.
