These \u201cBusiness Boosts\u201d are designed to benefit both business owners and the community. By drawing customers to local establishments, often for the first time, these events help increase awareness of the goods, services, and activities available in Granite City. The recent event at Teri\u2019s Route 66 Diner and the Route 66 Flea Market was no exception, bringing together residents and visitors alike to support local commerce.<\/p>\n\n

The opening day celebration for educators and then what followed for students at Granite City Community Unit School District 9 was more than just a kick-off; it was an opportunity to build a strong school community.

The highlight of the day was a speech by guest speaker David Flood, who delivered a heartfelt message to the staff.

Mitchell, a 1995 graduate of the district, shared his personal excitement and honor in embarking on this new chapter with Granite City CUSD 9. \u201cThis is an exciting time for our students, staff, and community, and I am eager to collaborate on a shared vision for excellence,\u201d he said.
