Lane and Ramp Closures Begin Monday for Bridge Repairs Near Horseshoe Lake Road

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 22, the Illinois Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes and ramps along Interstate 255 near Horseshoe Lake Road, affecting both directions of travel between mile markers 25 and 28 near Collinsville.

The closures include:
Two right lanes on northbound and southbound I‑255.
The northbound exit ramp to Horseshoe Lake Road.
The southbound entrance ramp from Horseshoe Lake Road.

IDOT reports that the restrictions are required to complete bridge deck patching on the structure carrying I‑255 over Horseshoe Lake Road. Work is expected to continue through the week, with all lanes and ramps scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30.
Motorists should anticipate delays and consider alternate routes during the construction period.
