Emily Gavilsky for Madison County Board District 21, continued

The fact of the matter is, Emily Gavilsky has been representing her community since the age of ten as a volunteer in several capacities. From this early age, Emily was taught by her grandmother, Billie Schuler, that service above self was a given growing up in Granite City. She did this on a regular basis by working with her grandma Billie at events for children with special needs and their families, such as the weekly Faith and Light gatherings and dances.  She began delivering food baskets to those in need with her mother, Cindy Gavilsky back in the mid 90’s, having fun doing so with her sister and cousins throughout the years.  Emily continues this 40- year family tradition as the organizing Chairperson of Billie’s Kids Christmas, a program that served over 450 children and their families last year.  Gavilsky is also an officer of the Granite City Area Community Foundation and is a member of the Tri-Cities Area United Way Auxiliary Board.

Emily Gavilsky has a number of irons in the fire, operating multiple businesses for the past several years. Most people recognize Emily as the hard-working event planner and entrepreneur she has been for over 10 plus years. Founder of Emily Anna Events,  she is involved in planning fundraisers for a number of local charities. These include Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation, supporting families of children with heart defects, and Brace For Impact, a non-profit foundation funding aid to Haiti & North St. Louis, founded by former Cardinal pitcher, Kyle McClellan and his wife.

Helping others is the cornerstone of Emily’s personal and professional success. She is excited for the opportunity to serve as the next Madison County Board Member in the 21st District.
