These cute little turkey treats where seen in a magazine by one of my employees
so we decided to give them a try!
They were such a hit that we had an assembly line of tiny turkeys lining our kitchen.  We
individually wrapped them and tied an autumn colored ribbon and name tag on each.
What a cute way to save a place at your Thanksgiving table.
Items you will need:  Fudge Stripped Cookies, Marshmallow Treat (recipe follows), Candy
Corn, Chocolate Chips (use as glue)
These cute little turkey treats where seen in a magazine by one of my employees
so we decided to give them a try!
Make a batch of marshmallow treats (around Thanksgiving time you can find pumpkin
flavored marshmallow, we used them in some of our turkeys)
Roll into 1 to 1 and a half inch balls.
Melt chocolate in microwave safe dish, stir until smooth.
Coat the flat side of the cookies with melted chocolate.  Place one cookie, chocolate side
up as the base.  Place one of the bodies (marshmallow treat ball)on the base near the back
of the cookie, acting as a brace to hold the tail or upright cookie in place.
Place candy corn on base for feet.  Fan candy corn on back cookie for the tail.
Use a dot of chocolate to attach head (piece of candy corn)to the marshmallow treat body.
Use small dots of chocolate for the eyes, by dipping the end of a toothpick and dotting the
candy corn, this works very well.
Marshmallow Treats
1/4 cup butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
5 cups crisp rice cereal

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted
and well blended. Remove from heat

Add cereal.  Stir until well coated.
With buttered hands shape into small balls  1-1 1/2 inches to form bodies. A small cookie
scoop works nicely for this. Make all of the bodies and set aside.
