| My friend Pat gave me this little whimsical figurine when I opened my business. When I wanted to add a water feature to the garden of the tearoom it seemed natural to add a little whimsy to the outside too. I commissioned Jess Star, an amazing artist who was working as an intern with the Six Mile Sculpture Works, a program with Alfresco Productions, to use this piece as inspiration. She did an amazing job creating this one of a kind work of art that is a favorite photo op for my customers. |
| The teacup that the water trickles into was my grandmothers’. Both Pat and my Grandma are no longer with me, but every time I’m in the garden and hear the soft sounds of the water being poured from the pot to the cup, I think of them. |
