Dear Neighbor, This year's election is April 7, 2015. The last day to register to vote prior to the April 7th Consolidated Election is March 10, 2015. As your Precinct Committeeman, I am here to make your voting as easy as possible. If someone has not registered to vote by the last day, they have the option of "Grace Period Voting". If you have any questions regarding Grace Period Voting please contact the County Clerk's Office at 692.6290. Early voting begins March 23, 2015 and ends on April 4, 2015. You can early vote at any designated location in Madison County. Further election information can be found at the Madison County Clerk's Office. Their office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The early voting location for those who live in Nameoki Precinct 5 is at the Granite City Township Building, located at 2060 A Delmar Avenue. Normal voting for Precinct 5 is at the City Temple Church on Maryville Road. Polls are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm A SCHOOL TAX REFERENDUM IS ON THE BALLOT IN APRIL! Happy March Granite City - And boy did March come in like a lion! We can't wait to see if it goes out like a lamb, keeping our fingers crossed.
