The Granite City Community Band,
under the direction of Maurice Mestemacher,
will present a free concert on

Friday, February 12th
at 7:00 P.M.
in the Granite City Township Hall
at 2048 Delmar Ave., in Granite City, Illinois.

Community Band members are musicians in the metro area who meet weekly to
prepare a variety of concert band music.  

This concert focuses on the solo musicians of the band in several sections including
flute, French horn, trumpet, vocal, saxophone and tuba instrumentalists.  

Strauss’s “Rondo for Horn” will be performed by Steve Rigdon.  
Sarah Smothers will play Chaminade’s “Concertino” for flute, Haydn’s 1st Movement
from his “Concerto for Trumpet”,  Jerome Kern’s “The Way You Look Tonight” with
vocalist Marion Strohman,
and “Boots Randolph’s”  “Yakety Sax”, featuring the sax section.

The concert is open to the public and all performances are free.
